Free Kindy Childcare Centre in The Gap
Welcome to The Gap Cubbyhouse Montessori
Cubbyhouse Montessori, the Gap childcare centre, is more than just a place of learning. It is a vibrant, supportive community where every child is inspired to learn, create, and grow at their own pace.
The centre is open between the hours of 6.30am – 6pm. We are licensed for 95 children with ages 6weeks – 6years.
Across our centre we have 6 colour coordinated rooms, each with a generous outdoor area. Ample shade has also been provided to increase the opportunities for active learning, both indoors and outdoors.
Our Programs & Age Groups
Long Day Care (0–3 Years Old)
(minimum of 2 days per week)
This program blends authentic Montessori principles with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in a homelike setting for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. It fosters emotional security, sensory development, and independence in calm, age-appropriate spaces.
- Dhagun Room: 6 weeks to 18 months
- Bigi Room: 8 months to 2 years
- Bira Room: 15 months to 3 years
- Dilkara Room: 2 to 3 years
Kindergarten (3–6 Years Old)
(minimum of 3 days per week)
Our free kindy in The Gap combines Montessori principles with the EYLF to build school readiness. Qualified teachers guide hands-on learning, confidence, and independence within flexible long day care hours.
- Mirragin Room: 3 – 6 years
- Killen Room: 3 – 6 years
